Phil Clarke comes from a background in the motor industry where he was Marketing Manager for Fiat, Lancia and Ferrari. Phil developed a passion for Italian food and wine, establishing A Touch of Italy in 1990 along with his wife Ann. Phil wanted to import essential authentic Italian products with a focus on high quality at affordable prices.
He saw a gap in the market for the increasing number of New Zealand travellers returning from overseas wanting to re-create the many fabulous meals they experienced in Italy and were unable to find on their return.
Ann Clarke is a talented cook who has developed many Italian recipes and was instrumental in setting up our Sovrano brand, in particular our very popular Panforte and Biscotti, which has been rated as the best available in New Zealand by Pavarotti and Tom Cruise. Ann is the Office Manager and Personal Assistant to the MD.
Liz Farquhar joined our Customer Services Team in July 2009 and brought many years of experience in front line customer relations, administration and office management. Now, her primary role is Operations Manager giving additional support in Sales and Marketing to the Senior Management and Sales Team; producing and maintaining Price Lists, Product Catalogues, Promotional and Email Campaigns.
Liz shares the role of Shop Manager for Sovrano, the retail arm of A Touch of Italy and provides essential back office support and customer services.
Chin is a chef by trade and has been in the hospitality industry for over 20 years. He is very passionate about food from around the globe and Italian cuisine happens to be on the top of the list! Chin used to work at one of Auckland's most well known Italian places, Prego.

Blair, son of Phil & Ann is the ATOI Wellington sales force. He is also well known in the Wellington region and around NZ for his musical talents which is also his other part time profession. Blair has a great knowledge of the ATOI portfolio and would be happy to make contact with anyone in the region and can be seen driving around in an ATOI van.

Dasha joined the ATOI team in February 2014 after being a full time mum to her 3 beautiful children. Her customer service experience comes from her time as a flight attendant with Air NZ and prior to that as a Beauty Therapist.

Craig has been part of the ATOI team since March 2014 and comes with a background in baking, sales, merchandising amongst many of the jobs he has been involved in over the years, but originally a pastry chef.
He brings a sense of humour and relaxed personality to you as part of the warehouse team, driving the Auckland van for deliveries and supporting the sales team with merchandising.
