A sweet Italian fortified wine from Sicily, enriched with egg yolk, resulting in a rich and velvety texture with notes of dried fruits and nuts

Ideal for making Tiramisu:

You can use your Mineo Cremovo Marsala to make a classic, authentic Italian tiramisu. Because Cremovo is a sweet, egg-enriched Marsala, it will add a rich, velvety flavor to the dessert.

Here is a traditional recipe using your Marsala:

INGREDIENTS

• 6 free-range eggs, separated

• 200g caster sugar

• 500g mascarpone cheese

• 200ml espresso coffee

• 170ml Mineo Cremovo Marsala wine

• 30-40 Savoiardi sponge finger biscuits (ladyfingers)

• Cocoa powder, for dusting

METHOD

1. Make the Cream: Whisk the egg yolks and sugar together until pale and creamy. Mix in the mascarpone until well combined. In a separate bowl, whip the egg whites until soft peaks form, then gently fold them into the mascarpone mixture.

2. Prepare the Dip: Mix the espresso and your Cremovo Marsala together in a shallow bowl.

3. Assemble: Spoon a third of the mascarpone mixture into the bottom of a large serving dish. Briefly dip each biscuit into the coffee and Marsala mixture, then lay them over the cream.

4. Layer: Repeat with another layer of cream, another layer of dipped biscuits, and finish with a final layer of the mascarpone cream.

5. Chill & Serve: Cover and chill in the fridge for at least 8 hours (overnight is best). Dust generously with cocoa powder just before serving.

A great all round marsala.

A Touch of Italy of great spirits.
